A few months ago, I made some bold predictions that have/will surely pay off. First, Favre is back, and Calp is already in trouble at Kentucky– without even coaching there! In addition, Michelle Wie has had a 2nd, 2 3rds and a 4th place finish this season– she’s on her way to winning, and will have the respectable career I pre-saged. Finally, Tiger is having an all-time bad putting year– according to the Golf Channel, he’s gone from top-5 to top-45 from 0-10 feet and from top 20 or so to top 130s outside 10 ft– but still has 5 wins, a couple of seconds, and 3 top-10s in the majors. One or two of those missed putts per tourney, and Woods has at least 2 majors and 4 more wins this year. And my prediction was for a boomshaka 2010. You know robotron will figure out the putting in the off-season and will just destroy, as predicted, next year.
Sooooooo, with most of my past predictions already in the bank, I shall let you in on a few more future events, just to wet your whistle…
1) A healthy Pats team means the threat of another undefeated season.
Last year, the New England Patriots were 11-5 with a QB who never started a game since high school. Never started a game. The system there is so strong, and the personnel just do their jobs. This year, the Pats have a very weak division; last year, the Dolphins feasted on a last-place schedule and the faltering of the Jets to eke their way to an inflated record. They may be solid this year, but they will certainly be no match for NE, and will take a step back. Buffalo has TO, but they still have no QB and no team, really, and the Jets are going to be average, as well. NE will roll in those games, and has a real chance to regain the glory of ‘07. As we saw then, the only thing that stopped them was a gimpy Brady; as such, if they stay healthy this year, I do not see how they can lose more than one game.

The word of the day is "undefeated."
2) Ray Rice will establish himself as one of the NFL’s top backs.
This is the season for Ray Rice, 2nd-year RB for the Baltimore Ravens. After impressing in limited PT last season, he figures to start this year, and will not feel that much pressure from the older and oft-injured Willis McGahee. Sure, he may lose a few goal-line carries to Le’Ron McClain, but he will easily surpass 1000 yds and approach or eclipse 10 TDS. In addition, he will catch at least 45 balls and total an additional 350-400 yds through the air. Mark it down, boys: RR ain’t just for railroads anymore.

Playing Cleveland twice won't hurt.
3) Finally, Sergio Garcia won’t win a major next year– again.
This isn’t really saying much. He’s a choke artist, plain and simple. Perhaps one of the most-over-rated hype-machine products ever. But, I can only give you so much gold so often. Sometimes I have to throw in a gimme.
Until next time, look to the stars if you want superstitious crap; look to the possum for the answers.

we need some more transparency on TDGP. tell the people who you drafted in the 3rd round of our FF draft. could it be ray rice??
i drafted him b/c of my vision. i couldn’t very well reveal it before the draft, though, could i? duh.
Is that really a tattoo of Peewee Herman on Brady’s arm? The picture is disarming enough, but the idea that he may actually have a Peewee Herman tattoo … well that’s just too much.
