A surge of visions has just come. I must document them quickly before they leave me. No pictures or adornment– just the future.
Baseball:
1) Roy Halladay wins NL Cy Young award.
2) NY Yankees win 100 games. Loss of Matsui big, but Nick Johnson is on-base machine, and Granderson is fast and a great bat with the short porch in right.
2a) BONUS: For that reason, Granderson has a BIG year. His numbers will be better than Damon’s last season.
3) Brian McCann has career year. He will rake.
Basketball:
1) Flashback: I said at the beginning of the season that only four Eastern conf. teams mattered– I was wrong. Only two do: Cavs and Magic. The Celtics will crumble this playoff season and face some serious restructuring next season.
2) Either the Spurs or Suns (or maybe both) will be in the Western conference finals– the playoff seeding is still unclear, so I cannot say if they will face each other before then.
Tennis:
1) Henin will get back on the major train. In fact, any time she has better than a 60 % serving percentage in a final, she will win.
2) We will start to see the decline of Roger. He will not totally fall off, but he will falter compared to his own high standards.
The spirit leaves me…
